David Omholt

David Omholt is the Chief Executive Officer of The Entrepreneur Authority (TEA), a leading franchise consulting firm in the US and the largest in Texas. Mr. Omholt is a frequent speaker at universities, conferences and talk shows on entrepreneurship and small business ownership.

Prior to founding TEA, Mr. Omholt was an Executive with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) for 10 years in their Retail Industry consulting practice. During his tenure with Accenture, Mr. Omholt consulted for many of the Global 500 companies, including: Best Buy, Eddie Bauer, GZS/Eurocard, JC Penney, Kroger, Meijer, Radio Shack, Sears Roebuck, Sears Canada, Sears Mexico, Walgreens and others. Some of Mr. Omholt's projects received Global awards for the breakthrough success and turnaround brought to the client.

An avid writer, Mr. Omholt was a contributing author to Achieving Quality Performance, a book which outlines how improved teamworking, innovation and quality lead to overall enhanced business performance. Currently, he is leading groundbreaking research on the Franchise industry in conjunction with the University of North Texas. Additionally, he endows UNT's David E. Omholt Entrepreneurship Scholarship which is awarded to top entrepreneurship majors.

He has been a guest lecturer at many universities and college across the country, including Duke University, UTEP, Notre Dame, University of North Texas and others to both undergraduate and graduate students.  Mr. Omholt graduated from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management and recently participated in the prestigious Krannert Executive Forum. As well, Purdue's College of Liberal Arts named recently honored him as their 2009 Emerging Voice Award recipient.  

Mr. Omholt is married with 3 daughters. His family is very active in the United Methodist Church and with international mission projects. 

The Omholts support the McKinney Education Foundation, because they believe education is tantamount to good citizenship. He currently chairs the Scholarship Committee.
