Pam Sexton

Pam Sexton and her husband, Curtis, moved to McKinney in 1983. They have two beautiful grown daughters, two terrific sons-in-law and two wonderful grandchildren. Both of their daughters were honor graduates of McKinney High School.

An active community volunteer, Pam has contributed to the success of the McKinney Independent School District by serving on the PTA boards of several schools, and serving on the MISD Board of Trustees for 9 years. She also sat on the boards of the Avenues Counseling Center for 13 years and the North Texas Heart Association for 6 years. For her many contributions, Pam was named the McKinney Chamber of Commerce's Volunteer of the Year in 2000.

Since its inception in 1991, Pam has proudly served the McKinney Education Foundation, wearing the hats of board secretary, vice president and president. Currently, she is the immediate past president of the organization that she says blesses McKinney with its presence. Through the years, Pam has seen hundreds of students given the opportunity to attend college because of the assistance given them through the MEF.

Because of her strong belief in the MEF, the Sextons established an endowed family scholarship. Proceeds from this MEF endowment are awarded yearly to deserving graduates who require assistance with their college expenses.

Pam encourages everyone to contact the MEF to determine what they can do to aid the students of McKinney in their pursuit of a higher education. "The rewards," Pam says, "are great."
