2009 Classroom, Professional Development Grant deadline has passed
Thank you for everyone who applied for this year's MEF Classroom and Professional Development Grants. The 2009 Classroom Grants applications are now being reviewed and will be awarded in December. Professional Development Grants have already been awarded for this year. The application process will open again in the fall of 2010.
Thank you to the more than 1,100 MISD staff members, and CoServ for making these grants possible through your donations.
The McKinney Education Foundation awards Professional Development and Classroom Grants to deserving MISD teachers and staff. Most funds for these grants are donated by MISD staff themselves.
Awarding grants to teachers directly impacts the quality of education in McKinney. The grants give teachers the freedom to implement innovative ideas that otherwise would go unfunded. Grants also help teachers take courses, attend seminars, and engage in other activities that help them to develop as professionals and educators. An investment in McKinney teachers is an investment in the quality of education in McKinney.
