What is an endowed gift?
An endowed gift, or an endowment, is an invested fund, a portion of whose earnings supports education. The rest of the earnings are reinvested to offset inflation. The principle investment from an endowment is never spent.
Because of sound fiscal practices as well as a conservative and responsible investment team, an endowment will perpetually support education, leaving a legacy in McKinney, Texas for years to come.
To establish an endowment, you must make an initial gift of $20,000, but can also use property, IRAs, or other assets to fund your endowment. Or you can build an endowment with smaller gifts over time. Our staff can work with you to establish a plan for building your endowment. |

How to Donate
Thank you for your interest in MEF’s mission to help McKinney students achieve the dream of a higher education and to make education in McKinney the highest quality. MEF operates on donations from businesses, civic organizations, and individuals, and we could not help students achieve their dreams and build their futures without these gifts. When you give to MEF, you are changing young people’s lives!
